The horse, the garden and Rue Cler

We went to Napoleon's tomb today. Amazing how such a little guy accumulated so much wealth and power! The place was dripping with inconceivable opulence. After much searching we even found his horse, Vizir.

And much like his owner, he was small, slight, white and really rather fragile looking...He was akin to the scare crow on Wizard of Oz, no glory and even his hay stuffing was sticking out. But we did appreciate the branding on his hip of a crown and a big N.

Every place is a visual delight!
The architecture, history, gardens and attention to the finest of detail continues to amaze and inspire me.

Gardens in front of Napolean's Tomb

Off to Rue Cler. Beautiful fruits, flowers, cheeses and tiny boutique shops. Persons of every age sitting in out door cafes enjoying life, coffee, wine and absunthe.

Completed our evening with a lovely evening walk to view the ever
popular Eiffel Tower!
